Into the Ray-Verse
The wild thing about being an entrepreneur… is being an entrepreneur.
It’s well after midnight, and I’m up with Oliver (my teammate) working on this week’s content. My desk looks like a creative battlefield. I have an open notebook with scribbled ideas and a working to-do list, a devotional cracked open, three Chrome sessions running, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, playing in the background.
We’re producing the first few videos for the YouTube channel, God’s Minutes (a faith and creativity project blending prayer devotionals and Bible storytelling). While the AI renders an animated video of Jael (47% done at the moment), I’m tweaking the next script and chatting with you here.
Yes, in the midst of it all. And it’s funny… I’m actually enjoying myself.
Most likely, I’ll crash after this post. There are still three more videos on the docket: a Bible biography, an AI-generated devotional for Friday, and a weekend prayer video featuring me.
Later today, I also plan to tackle some home projects and research flexible side-gigs. Maybe be a DoorDasher or an Instacarter. If those don’t look promising then maybe Uberinge. Something that complements this self-employed, faith-led rhythm I’m living.
Working for myself is harder than I imagined… yet more rewarding than I hoped. My work and my ministry are finally intertwined, and every day feels like a small miracle in motion.
Still, building the daily structure I need, showing up for myself with the same consistency I once gave big companies, takes discipline. It’s way too easy to put things off.
I keep reminding myself:
“Sir, you are your paycheck. You are eating what you’re killing, and right now you’re killing Saltine crackers with either vienna sausages or sardines.”
I’m my own worst critic, housing the world’s worst inner sabateur and best friend to the most procrastinating highest achiever in town. There’s more I can give each day. Truly.
Honest assessment? I would probably be dropped from Pop Star Academy based on effort alone.
Hands off, Gabriela!
